Easy Paleo Berry Pop-Tarts Recipe-Just like the firsts you ate as a child, only natural ingredients (no gluten, no grains, no sugar)

Today I have another delicious and healthy dessert for breakfast – Paleo Berry Pop-Tarts. For those who do not know what its that – it is a cookie with a filling, are two thin crispy layers of dough with sweet stuffing. The fillings can be varied, and these cookies are delicious! I’ll show you a fabulous recipe of paleo berry pop tarts.

For the specified number of ingredients, I got a pop tarts with a caloric value of 210 kcal.


Who loved pop tarts when was a child? At those times our mum’s had to buy only processed, high sugar amount snacks. Thank god, now we have all the tools to fix it and to make our favorite snacks in a  healthy and guilt-free way!

 

We need:

  • 1 cup cassava flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 100 ml of coconut oil 
  • 100 ml of water
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 egg for dought
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 cup of berries 

First, preheat the oven to 350° F. The cassava flour mix with salt, and baking soda. Add in the coconut oil until the dough matches rough crumbs. Continue with the eggs, maple syrup, and some water. Mix till the mixture gets together. Make balls from the dought.

Turn mixture out on a floured board in a square. Divide the dough within squares. Run a thin spatula under the squares to avoid them from sticking to the surface. Brush egg whites on the top. On half of the squares, put a full tablespoon of berries mixture. Cover with the rest of the squares. Fold all the sides with a fork. Touch the tops with whipped egg white. Make some drains on the head of every pop tart. Accurately carry the pop tarts to the oiled baking paper. Keep for 15-20 minutes till golden brown color.
